KVRC is run by a Management Committee comprising of the following representatives:

1. Chairperson – Organization of Persons with Disabilities
2. Vice-Chairperson – DG&SD officer
3. The Centre Manager – Secretary to the committee
4. Member –Industrial / Private sector
5. Member – Ministry of Education
6. Member – Ministry of Health
7. Member – Administration
8. Member – Faith Based organization
9. Member – Local Authority

This committee oversees the empowering of Persons With Disabilities overcome their physical, psychological and social challenges by ensuring that they acquire relevant knowledge, appropriate skills and entrepreneurship training for self-reliance. This is intended to turn them into self-respecting persons and enable them to cope and actively participate in National socio-economic development.

To achieve this, the Ministry has adopted a modern market oriented vocational curriculum starting at craft level to be rolled out from January 2011. The vocational curriculum has two entry levels for both KCPE and KSCE graduates and offers progression for all to vocational diploma, 1st degree, master’s and Doctorate in various areas of specialization. The Kenya National Examination Council and the Directorate of Industrial Training shall examine the knowledge and skill proficiency respectively.
